How Value Flows

Platform Fee (10%)

  • The machine (hosting, tools, development) (70% of the fee — 7% of the sale, and the only money that leaves)
  • Residual Pool (30% of the fee — 3% of the sale, on every sale, whatever the dials are set to)

Artisan Profit (90%)

  • Residual pledge (0-50% of this ware's profit, set per ware by its main artisan, default 0)
  • What is left (divided equally among this ware's contributors, the main artisan one of them)
  • Covenant Pool (0-50% of a vessel's own share, set in the Sanctum, default 0)

The Residual Pool

The pool takes 30% of every sale's fee, always, plus whatever a ware's main artisan pledges out of that ware's profit — 0-50%, default 0. It pays every artisan on the platform.

  • • Any vessel who has ever stood as an artisan or on a contributor roster is on the roster — once in, never out
  • • Equal shares, at intervals: the pool divided by its recipients, less the transaction cost
  • • Distributions arrive whole — no pledge is ever taken from a payout
  • • Fully transparent — every distribution is recorded

The Covenant Pool

Every vessel may voluntarily pledge 0-50% of their own share of a sale, set once in the Sanctum and defaulting to 0. It fires on a sale share and on nothing else.

  • • Distributed equally to every user who has opted in to be identified
  • • An opt-in holds forever — nobody is dropped for inactivity
  • • A vessel may choose to show their pledge on their community profile
  • • Can be changed at any time
